Benefits of Making a Wine

As I am enjoying this wonderful weekend day of Sunday, I am also inspired to write something about the significance of my blog's title which is Making a Wine thus I came up with this post. When we participate in making wine, it means that we are in full control of all its ingredients same thing with our life, it is always a plus factor for us if we are constantly in control of all things related to it such as its goals, aspirations, dreams and others.

In the actual wine making, one of its positive attributes is that it can give us a very meaningful learning experience. It allows us to identify its complex process that involves understanding the interplay of heaps of factors such as grape selection, fermentation, aging, and bottling. Engaging in winemaking can usher us to valuable insights into agricultural practices, microbiology, chemistry and more. Similar to this, in life also we are ushered into a deep understanding of the interwoven mystery among one to the others. When we allow ourselves to undergo the deep process of self understanding, it is then that we will start to savour the beauty of intermingling with other people's lives.

Another positive contribution of us getting involve in making wine is its health benefits. As it is said, moderate consumption of red wine is associated with various health benefits and thanks especially to compounds like resveratrol anbd antioxidants found in grape skins. While these benefits are more closely linked to consumption rather than production, knowing exactly what goes into our wine can enhance our apporeciation of its potential health benefits.  Similar to this are those benefits to our health when we come up with positive relationships with ourselves and with others. As commomnly said, no man is an island therefore we are all expected to engage with others regardless of who we are. The challenge then that is left for us is how could we openly extend ourselves to others without overlapping the boundaries between ourselves and them.

Courage Through Faith

Struggles in life come in so many innumerable forms. No one among us could simply claim that they are strong but somehow, for  those who are able to survive life's crosses would claim that they are able to do so due to their firm hold in themselves and in their constant faith in their God.

Everyday in our life, we experience various life situations- some may be considered as trivial ones yet others become enormously significant that if we only stop from our busy routines as well as reflect on them, we will come into a realisation that they emerge as our pathway to be strong in this battlefield of life.

Constantly dealing with the everyday challenges of life, we feel that at times, we can't go on anymore....that it is too much for us to go on with the fight. Life at times could be very challenging and tricky yet it is on this time of emptiness and desolation that we find consolation in the embrace of the Most Powerful Being in life.

Thus comes our conviction and faith in our God. And no matter what name we attribute to Him but in His eyes, we are just the same. We are all special in His love and with this assurance, may we become more motivated to embrace life's not so favourable chapters.

Being Grateful in Life

As we are nearing to the end of January, allow ourselves a space and then let us try to recall all our activities for this month. Even when we started this month, we already received wonderful things day in and day out. In fact, all the bountiful blessings that we treasured are beyond any price for they are so worthwhile and precious. And as we continue with our journey, they will also become a special part of our book of life that no matter what will happen in the near future, we always have something to look back and say to ourselves, " How lucky we are to have received such blessings....."

Consequently, it is also but fitting for all of us to be thankful for everything that we have enjoyed this month. In those busy events in our life, it is beneficial if we can find time to look back all those past events and also have time to be grateful to those people who have, in one way or the other, journeyed with us tirelessly during the month.

As they said, life is a give and take process thus telling us that we need each other and that no one among us can live alone. I pity those who are so boastful among themselves and allow pride to ruin their lives and their relationships with others. Time will come that they will realise that not all in life is about money and fame. These things are important but they are not the ideal ones which could give us real happiness.

Hence, as we end this month, let us spend some time to thank those people who have shared their lives with us.

Listening to Music

One of my favourite past times is listening to music. Though at this point in time, my music preferences have changed with the cadence of the time yet it still is one of my outlet so as to be able to recharge from a hard day's work. As I see it everyday, there are several stressful situations that we encounter and at the end of the day, if we are not that creative, we could end up too tired and too lazy to get up for the next day's activities.

Listening to music also allows me to appreciate the whole of it like lyrics, melody, background features, etc.. Remember that there are just similar notes being utilised in any song but it is so amazing to realise how the composer and arranger make everything in harmony with each other.

Life then is like a music...it needs to be in constant harmony with both its internal and external dynamics. When one part is not in congruence with the rest then it could lead and start something undesirable. Hence,  it is always beneficial both for the person himself and for those outside of him to be in constant harmony so that peace and growth are attainable.

         Enjoy your weekend everyone.

The Difference Between Commitment and Interest

A Guest Post:

There is a difference between interest and commitment. When you are interested in doing something, you do it only when it is convenient for you. When you are committed to something, you accept it with no excuses, only results.

Most people are interested on what people will say on things that they do, they contribute, they share, as well as give, then it makes them feel good, they feel they hold the world, they feel people owed their lives to them. For some, they feel people are helpless without them and they feel that others can't do things without them, great in the eyes of the people.

On the other hand, if you are committed, you do something for people's lives, because you feel that they need it, because you feel what they feel and because without saying it, you can feel their silence, you can feel the beat of their hearts, you can see the reflexes of their eyes, and you can feel that they are thirsty and hungry, and you are committed, not in the eyes of the camera, or being aired on radio or being publicised, and that because you commit yourself to the people and to God.

Hence, with these two varying sides, what's your choice? Be consistent to what you believe or not.
